The Fine CHemicals Coporation was established in Capetown in the yea 1960. Initially, the company operated as Petersen Chemicals because they were manufacturing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API’s). The relocation to the current site took place in 1975. Products such as Codeine Phosphate, Morphine Sulphate and Paracetamol were beginning to become popular on the South African market. IN the mid 1980’s a range of off patent generic API’s were developed inside of the country. These were largely destined for the US market.
