The Arts & Culture Trust (ACT) is South Africa’s premier independent arts and culture funding and development agency. The company is the oldest arts funding agency in South Africa. Since 1994 it has advanced its position towards becoming a self-sustaining perpetual Fund for the continued development of arts and culture. The Arts & Culture Trust’s programmes offer a low-cost high-impact proposition for businesses wanting to achieve their Corporate Social Investment (CSI), BBBEE or marketing objectives within the arts and culture sector. The Trust’s business model has allowed it to disburse more than R20 million over the past 20 years. The Arts & Culture Trust also reached a degree of operational sustainability. They use their contributions from sponsors and philanthropists to directly benefit South African artists and organisations.
